Attaching a scientific experiment to an opinion should be made clear, and in your case it wasn't. In my experience a comment like yours + broken telephone practieces will soon enough spread to rumer that a certain experiment proved unequivocally that the Germans are XYZ, Regardless of your intention.

First, it must be clear that whatever you say is your conjecture only, and the experiment does not make any such claims.

Second, I would argue your cojecture is wrong regardless of the latest evidence provided

This is just not true, the experiment never did any benchmarking between different nationalities, it didn't have the settings to do so and even if your opinion is correct the experiment could not have enough data to prove your premise. The experiment did prove, however, that the majority of ALL nations are likely to follow authority regardless of personal ethical dilemma which is in direct contradiction with your claim.

Now, if you want to take the 85% of a sole experiment done on a very low statistical sample (40 people out of 80 million), disregard the variation on the original experiment and disregard normal deviation to generalize that some nations are XYZ, I would not concur. However, if you decide that it's worth while to further investigate the matter, I would heartedly encourage you, In fact I may have several suggestions, like adding Hofstede dimensions to your segmentation.

The fact that the experiment never claimed what you are suggesting should have raised a red flag

You are missing my point, my knowledge spans way before any Wikipedia was online, I read the wikipedia article for the first time just before posting the comment I did, in order to back my argument and I needed to test that the article is indeed accurate (And that was my impression)

After 2 World Wars initiated by Germans the world was sure that Germans were much more prone to such horrific behavior, and that is exactly what the Milgram experiment was trying to prove. Alas the results proved something altogether of a more sinister nature.

Humans in General as a social animal are prone to herd dynamics and most would follow the lead without questioning regardless of consequences..
